To Individuals Interested In Applying for a Service Dog:
The application process for this program is selective. Service dogs (SDs) will only be placed with recipients that are able and willing to provide the care and training a SD requires. These requirements include, but are not limited to:
Recipient Application:
The application process for this program is selective. Service dogs (SDs) will only be placed with recipients that are able and willing to provide the care and training a SD requires. These requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Being able to provide daily care, feeding, cleaning, and housing.
- Being able to support the SD financially, including basic necessities, veterinary care, and maintaining the SDs working equipment.
- Providing the continued training that SDs require, even after they have graduated from our program.
- Being available to participate in the last semester of the Canine Education Program to learn how to care for and work with your SD. These last months entail the individualized training of the SD so that they will be able to meet all of your personal needs.
Recipient Application:
- Please read and fill out the entire application before submitting it.
- The application should be submitted to the AAEC PV Office.
- The application does require proof of service for veterans and first responders.
- The application also requires a letter from a medical practitioner, explaining why a SD would be beneficial for your condition.

Facility Dog Application:

- The application does require the facility is one that benefits individuals in the community.
